Samsung CSC Reference: Model, Region, and Feature Limits
Reference checked: 29 September 2026. Samsung CSC, or country/carrier-specific configuration, helps select regional and operator settings inside firmware built for a particular model. A three-letter code is not proof that a feature will work on every phone, SIM, account, carrier, firmware build, or location.
Call recording and Samsung Wallet depend on more than the active CSC. Applicable law, firmware, device model, sales region, carrier configuration, SIM, Samsung account country, payment-card issuer, service availability, and server-side policy can all affect the result.
What a CSC can and cannot establish
A CSC may configure APNs, carrier customizations, language defaults, emergency settings, update channels, and region-dependent application behavior. The active code must still belong to firmware compatible with the exact model and bootloader revision.
A code does not add unsupported radio bands, guarantee VoLTE or Wi-Fi Calling, change the physical hardware region, guarantee warranty service, or guarantee that Wallet and native call recording will appear. A multi-CSC package may contain several sales codes, but inclusion does not prove that every transition is supported or data-preserving.

Samsung and carriers can change firmware packages and service policy. Verify the exact model’s current service-provider software version and official regional support before relying on a code.
Record the current configuration
On many Galaxy devices, Settings → About phone → Software information → Service provider software version shows the active and available sales-code information. The *#1234# screen may show AP, CP, and CSC firmware versions, but dialer codes can be disabled by a carrier or firmware build.
Record the complete model number, bootloader binary revision, current firmware build, active CSC, available multi-CSC package, carrier, SIM country, and Samsung account country. Back up personal data before any firmware or CSC operation.
Decide whether a change is appropriate
Use these checks before following a change guide:
- Confirm that the target firmware is published for the exact model number.
- Confirm that its bootloader binary revision is compatible; anti-rollback rules still apply.
- Check whether the target sales code is present in the installed multi-CSC package.
- Verify the desired feature through Samsung, the carrier, or the service’s regional support page.
- Check local consent and recording law from an authoritative local source.
- Plan for a factory reset even if a specific method sometimes preserves data.
- Confirm that account, payment-card, SIM, and carrier eligibility will still be met.

Firmware, Knox, updates, and reversibility
Using a stock firmware package does not by itself guarantee that Knox state, warranty treatment, data, OTA eligibility, carrier services, or payment services remain unchanged. Those outcomes depend on the exact model, package, method, bootloader state, and regional policy.
Do not describe a CSC change as completely reversible. Returning to the previous code can require another reset or firmware operation, the old package may no longer be accepted, and server-side account or service eligibility may not revert immediately. Verify OTA behavior after the change instead of assuming the new regional channel will update normally.
Post-change verification
After an authorized change, record the active CSC and build, then test calls, SMS, mobile data, VoLTE, Wi-Fi Calling, emergency-call configuration, OTA status, Wallet enrollment, and the intended regional feature. A menu appearing is not proof that the feature is lawful, provisioned, or reliable.
If a feature remains unavailable, restore the exact official configuration for the device and region or contact Samsung and the carrier. Do not flash firmware from a different hardware model to obtain a regional setting.
